What is MOPS?
MOPS stands for "mothers of preschoolers" and is about meeting the needs of every mom of a child from conception through kindergarten. Each meeting will include brunch and childcare, enabling you to have a break from the demands of caring for your children and develop meaningful relationships with other women. Your children will be lovingly cared for in MOPPETS where they will enjoy stories, games, snacks and crafts. Throughout the year we will have speakers from all over the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, who are experts on the topics they present. We will also engage in service projects and do creative activities together.
Why should I join MOPS?
Being moms is what brings us together and allows us to build a community. The early years of being a mom are just as foundational to you as they are to your baby, and those years are filled with unique needs that other moms instinctively understand. Our motto is “Better Moms Make A Better World” and the goal of MOPS at Normandale is to help you be the best mom you can be!
When are the meetings?
MOPS at Normandale meets in the NBC Youth Room on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, September through May, from 9:30am – 11:30am.
How much does it cost?
Membership Dues are $50 per semester or $95 upfront. Your membership includes a subscription to MomSense Magazine, Weekly Mom-E-Mail, a MOPS Reusable Shopping Bag, MOPS Bookmark and Magnet, Exclusive Access to MyMOPS Online, and goes toward NBC MOPS fees to cover childcare, creative activities, speakers, and more. Scholarships are available.
