Youcanfree.us, a North Texas-based non-profit organization involved in the fight against human trafficking, announces it will host a Run for Freedom 5K in Flower Mound, Texas on Saturday, September 29, 2012 staring at 8:30 AM. Kari Dingler, spokesperson for Youcanfree.us, says “We hope to draw people from not onlyFlower Mound and other Denton County communities, but also anyone from the surrounding area here in North Texas who has a heart to see an end to the horror of human trafficking.”
All funds raised from this event will benefit the ongoing project by Youcanfree.us on theinfamous GB Road in New Delhi, India…one of the largest red light districts in the world where more than 30,000 girls live and work. “Many of them were sold into the sex trade when they were young,” Dingler states. “Youcanfree.us is involved in rescuing these young girls and women, taking care of their medical and emotional needs, providing them safe housing, giving them vocational training and providing them job opportunities.”
In addition to raising operational funds for the safe house and a vehicle to be used in the rescues, Dingler added “We also hope to bring awareness of this heinous injustice to those who might not know this type of modern day slavery still exists.”

Race Day Itinerary:
Race packets can be picked up on Thursday, September 27th from 6:30 until 8 PM, and Friday, September 28th, from 5:30 until 7:30 PM at:
CrossFit Flower Mound: 3001 Long Prairie Road, Suite 200 (located right behind/next to My Flooring America)
All other packet pickup at Flower Mound High School beginning at 7:00 am day of race.
