Real Beauty Inside Out(RBIO), designed by psychologist Dr. Trevicia Williams, is offering FREE ($250 value) healthy relationship workshop for mothers and their teen daughters from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 22 & 29, and, October 13. The racing hormones and emotional changes that shape our daughters' adolescence can feel like an amusement park ride. At times, the incredible teen years can dampen the outlook of the best moms. Psychologist, Dr. Williams, author of Pearls in the Pain of Every Experience: Girl Still, Woman Not Quite, provides information and practical tools for dealing with the dynamics of the mother-daughter relationships during girls' teen years.
During this interactive hands-on workshop, mothers and teen daughters will learn skills for effective communication to build healthy relationships, develop trust and respect, bond and grow. They will also be empowered and equipped to deal with "girl still, woman not quite" issues such as decision making, sex, and the transition from girl to young lady that oftentimes cause friction in their relationship during turbulent teen years.
