Besides being the largest dance and theatrical production Denton has to offer, (the cast numbers 200+ dancers/actors of all ages), “A Gift for Emma” adds to the cultural texture of the Denton community by combining the classical heritage of ballet with the ever-changing artscape of modern/contemporary dance, the “in-your-face” style of Hip Hop, and the artistry of local designers whose props, puppets, set designs and costumes capture even the “oldest child within” and add to the special “flavor” of the production, which is in its 14th year.
