Elders Annual Chili Cook-Off ~ Pull Out Those Recipes!
The First Christian Church Duncanville elders are pleased to announce the upcoming Annual Chili Cook-Off benefiting the FCCD Elders’ In-Reach Fund. The Elders’ In-Reach fund benefits the members of First Christian Church Duncanville, in the event of an emergency situation where help is needed.
Save the date and mark your calendars for Sunday, January 27th 12:00 p.m. Plan to come be a part of this fun event that benefits our Church family and features great “all you can eat chili” (and other scrumptious food items for those not so fond of chili). There will be door prizes, plenty of fellowship, and several awesome raffle baskets and raffle items. Raffle tickets will be $1.00, and admission to the cook-off will be a love offering.
Of course, for you great cooks out there, we encourage your participation in entering your favorite chili or alternative dish, which also will greatly support this fundraiser. Prizes will be issued to three chili winners, as well as to the best alternative “non-chili” dish. The judges for the cook-off will include a panel of “world famous” FCCD foodies.
Begin to think about your best Chili recipe (or “other” stew, soup or….) and be ready to submit your entry form. For an entry form contact the church office at 972-298-2166 or postmaster@fccduncanville.org .
