When: July 29- August 2: Tuesday-FRIDAY: 2- 7 pm, SATURDAY: 10- 3 with performance showcase Saturday, August 2 @ 7 pm Where: First United Methodist Church, Mansfield Who: Incoming 9th Grade Students- College Seniors(Possible age exceptions made based on skill level/experience) Cost: $125 TO REGISTER: Limited enrollment available! Please contact Lyndsey at lyndsey@lyndseychance.com to have student(s) added to roster by Tuesday, July 22. Upon registration, you will receive detailed workshop info. by email. Payment due by cash or check (payable to: First United Methodist Church/AIM) on or before the first day of class. Are you interested in musical theatre? Do you dream about moving to New York City and seeing your name in lights? Would you love to be on Broadway? Perhaps you just love to act, sing, and dance? If any of these questions describe you, join in on this dynamic, hands-on learning experience! What will I learn? You will get five days of intensive, relevant, up-to-date information and experiences from a former theatre teacher and currently working NYC actress, Lyndsey Chance Simmons, and voice teacher extraordinaire Dr. Scott Ferrell. - The Experience: Learn what it is like to be an auditioning, working actor in NYC. Get answers to questions like: Should I study theatre in college? What skills and materials will I need? What should I have prepared? What should I expect? - The Song: Individual and Group Instruction on Song Selection, Preparation, Interpretation, and Acting Songs - The Voice: Group and Private Vocal Instruction with experienced teacher and vocalist, Dr. Scott Ferrell - The Dance Call: Technique and Choreography Instruction What will I need? - 2" Binder with paper, sheet protectors, and a pencil - A highlighter - Access to sheet music, particularly www.musicnotes.com and/or similar sites - Dance Shoes- Character and Jazz preferred - "Dressed to Move" Clothing (preferably black)
